=>Sebuah text yang menceritakan kepad pembaca mengenai sebuah cerita,aksi,aktivitas yang dialami/dilakukan penulis pada masa lampau

Tujuan Komunikatif:

Melaporkan peristiw,kejadian,kegiatan yang terjadi di waktu lampau dalam sebuah urutan secara bertahap untuk menghibur/member informasi kepada pembaca

Struktur Teks(Generic Structure)

·         Title (Judul)

·         Orientation (Pendahuluan)

Bagian ini menjelaskan tentang pendahuluannya misalnya apa yang terjadi,siapa yang terlibat,dimana terjadinya,kapan terjadinya,dll

·         Event (Peristiwa)

Bagian ini menjelaskan tentang peristiw yang terjadi pada masa lampau dan peristiwa itu diceritakan secara berurutan;Dalam menceritakan event pad recount text biasanya menggunakan conjuction(kata penghubung) misalnya: first,next,then,after that,finally

·         Re-Orientation

Bagian ini biasanya berisi komentar pribadi /perasaan penulis setelah apa yang di alaminya/dilakukannya

Tipe-tipe recount text

a)      Personal Recount

Jenis teks recount yang menceritakan pengalaman penulis

Misalnya:biografi ataupun autobiografi

b)      Factual Recount

Jenis teks recount yang menceritakan kejadian tertentu yang di dasarkan pada fakta dan biasanya terdapat bukti untuk menekankan kalau cerita itu nyata

Misalnya:Laporan Percoban Ilmiah,laporan berita,laporan kepolisian

c)       Imaginative Recount

Jenis teks recount yang menceritakan peran dan cerita khayalan yang di sertai rincian kejadian tersebut

Ciri-Ciri Kebahasaan (Linguistic Features)

                -Past Tense (Kalimat bentuk lampau)

                -Action Verb (Kata kerja aksi)

                -Conjuction (Kata Penghubung)

                -Adverb (Kata keterangan)

                -Noun and Pronoun sebagai kata ganti orang

                -Adjective (Kata Sifat)

Contoh Recount Text

Title:                                                                      Science Is Important

Orientation:

                When I was in junior high school, I was not a very diligent student, in fact , I was quite lazy.I hated all the school subjects that I took during  school , especially science.For me , science was very difficult.It was hard for me to remember the chemical processes , physics calculation and biological processes.Once my Teacher grounded me in the library because I did not do my biology homework.He asked me to read several books and make a summary about them.When I was browsing the books,I found a book entitled “The Inventors of Medicine” . I though “OK.This is a start”. I took it out then began reading it.

Events:

                First,I learned from a book about  Edward Jenner,He was an English doctor who found the cure for small pox.Next, I read a book about Louis Pasteur,his interest in bacteria led him to discover the treatment for rabies and anthrax.Finally,there was Alexander Fleming, A british bacteriologist who found the first antibiotic and penicillin

Re-Orientation:

                After I read the book, I realized that science is useful for human kind.By studying,we can discover thing that can help human kind. Therefore,since that moment , I managed to change my behavior and became a doctor
